- Cabbage1 large head
- Rice2 cups Egyptian rice, rinsed
- Tomato3 medium tomatoes, grated
- Onion2 medium onions, finely chopped
- Parsley1/2 bunch, chopped
- Dill1/2 bunch, chopped
- Garlic5 cloves
- Cumin1 tsp
- Ghee3 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Water3 cups

Method
Separate the cabbage leaves and boil them in salted water until soft, then cut them into pieces and remove the thick ribs.
Mix the rice with the onion, tomatoes, herbs, cumin, salt, pepper and 1 tbsp of the ghee.
Place a little filling on each leaf and roll it into a thin, tight finger.
Line the bottom of the pot with the ribs, then pack the rolls in tightly, scattering the garlic between them.
Add the water or broth and the remaining ghee, and cook over low heat for 45 minutes until the rice is done.
