Karak Tea

Ingredients for 4 people
- Water2 cups
- Tea2 tbsp loose black tea
- Cardamom5 pods, crushed
- Sugar3 tbsp (or to taste)
- Evaporated milk1 can (about 170 ml)

Method
Boil the water with the crushed cardamom (and ginger if using) for 3 minutes.
Add the tea and sugar and let it simmer on low heat for 5 minutes until dark.
Pour in the evaporated milk, stir, and simmer on low for 3–5 minutes until it rises and turns caramel-coloured.
Strain into cups and serve hot.
